I'm in hysterics over this. There's no thought process beyond panic and go with it during their First Meeting but afterward, when higher brain function returns there's a dual moment of "Why did he try to gatekeep/girlboss me BACK?"

And the cue the comedy as both Billy and Danny are trying to best to meet up alone to talk things out without outing themselves. Things just keep getting in the way. Their own rogue gallery, other heroes and Batman is an ever-looming presence as they try to have the Talk. It's already complicated enough and then the civilian identities get involved and all bets are off.

phantom is theorised to have existed millions of years ago

shazam is allegedly millions of years old

both panicking when phantom is supposed to be formally introduced to the JL

danny and billy: how am i going to convince phantom/shazam that i’ve been around for millions of years????

team phantom and shazamily: gaslight and girlboss

and then you see two idiots fumbling and coming up with all the different occasions that they’ve met before
